The Miz is making his feature film debut! This can't miss. The film is called The Marine 3: Homefront. 1) This has to be going straight to DVD, right? 2) They made The Marine AND The Marine 2??? Buzzfeed sat down with The Miz for an interview and thankfully answered my two initial questions:
"The Marine 3: Homefront, a Rambo-ish story about a Marine who returns home on leave and has to rescue his sister from terrorist kidnappers, comes out on DVD Tuesday. It's a co-production of WWE Studios and Fox Home Entertainment; the first Marine movie, released in 2006, starred wrestler John Cena and was a surprise hit."
As previously mentioned, I attended the first taping of ABC's celebrity diving show Splash last night. I continue to be a very firm believer in this show. The production/set is off the charts amazing. They enclosed an outdoor pool with a tent and the opening sequence, which included a Russian swing, was very cool. In terms of this show taking the place of what has now become a very ho hum and played out Dancing With The Stars, I would say it's likely to fill that void.
Boring Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor finally ends tonight with three hours of painful television. I don't watch any results shows (but for Joe Schmo) so I'll wait until 5-10 minutes prior to the end of the 2-hour finale to tune in.
I've promoted this podcast before, but if you're a fan of Arrested Development, you should listen to Jeff Garlin's most recent podcast during which he has a conversation with Mitch Hurwitz.
Kristin Cavallari, wife of Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler and former star of The Hills, has made some interesting allegations. According to US Weekly, Cavallari claims that "one producer tried -- unsuccessfully -- to bribe her costars with $10,000 Birkin bags to fabricate stories about her drug problem." Elizabeth Hasselbeck is leaving The View. She's not leaving The View. Who cares?
